Steve Coulter is a multimedia journalist and a recent graduate of the University of Denver.
He is currently a general assignments reporter for his hometown newspaper, the Ridgefield Press.
He's also a radio host for Hersam Acorn Newspapers.
Before attending college out West, Coulter grew up in the town of Ridgefield, Conn. - approximately an hour from New York City.
In high school, he was a sports writer at the Press as well as the president of Ridgefield High School's student spirit committee. He played football and basketball for the school.
His passion for athletics and devotion toward fan-hood carried over into his travel to Denver in the fall of 2009, where he became the Sports Editor of the DU Clarion, in addition to joining the Denver Athletics student spirit leadership club.
While emerging as the Clarion's Managing Editor by the middle of his sophomore year, Coulter continued to add necessary journalistic experience, interning at the New York Daily News and writing for Inside Lacrosse Magazine.
He was recognized in May of 2012, before stepping down from his role at the Clarion, as one of five winners of the 18th Annual Damon Runyan Award Scholarship.
Coulter was awarded again in February 2014, when he was selected as New England Newspapers and Press Association's Rookie of the Year.
Coulter's specialties include sports writing, interviewing and reporting, newspaper design, social media management and editing for AP style.
He has been published in more than a dozen websites, newspaper and magazines.
